A rosé made entirely from Pinot Noir grown at 400m. Grapes are picked by hand and sorted prior to de-stemming and a short maceration of 6-8 hours at 5°C. Fermentation starts on the skins, unlike most producers it is the quality that is paramount and not the colour so there is sometimes a wide variation as to how this wine looks. The wine is aged on the yeasts for at least 24 months before remuage.
About the Producer:
The Majolini Winery rises in the district of Ome, in the heart of Franciacorta. The name of the wine Franciacorta, coincides with the name of the area in which it is produced. Franciacorta is the product of the grapes that exclusively come from a unique terroir with a limited geographical area, throughout the production method of the refermentation in bottle. The Majolini Winery has chosen to practice a viticulture without concession, completely dedicated to the quality of the grapes: low yields, high density of plantation, rigorous pruning, cutting of the leaves, accurate selection of all the grapes during summer; no effort is spared, in order to obtain a quality harvest.
