The Barolo of Rocche dei Manzoni winery is made by carefully selected Nebbiolo grapes on the vineyards of the Monforte d’Alba hills. After a period of aging, first in wood and then in cement, it spends at least one more year in bottle. At sight, it has an intense ruby red colour, while at nose it gives off an intense, floral and fruity bouquet, with hints of violet and cherry and notes of spices and chocolate. In mouth, it is balanced and sophisticated, full-bodied, with a long and persistent final. It is perfect to drink in combination with fresh pasta with ragout, roast or braised red meats and aged cheeses.
